Blevins and Rutland Clash in Amateur Heavyweight Bout at XFA 7

Crossville, TN - ​XFA Fight Night 7 continues to take shape on January 3rd in Crossville, Tennessee, and the heavyweight division will be on full display when Chase Blevins faces Lorenzo Rutland in an amateur MMA bout marking the XFA debut for both athletes.

Blevins enters the matchup with a 1–2 amateur MMA record, with all three of his bouts taking place under the Ares Fight Series banner. Despite the record, Blevins has gained valuable cage experience against tough competition and now looks to apply those lessons on a new stage. This will be his first appearance under the XFA banner and his return to action after a layoff, as he has not competed since March and is coming off a loss. Representing Scrapyard MMA, Blevins will be eager to make a strong first impression in his XFA debut.

Across the cage stands Lorenzo Rutland, an independent amateur fighter out of the Nashville area. Rutland holds an 0–1 amateur MMA record and will also be making his first appearance in XFA. His last MMA bout came in July of 2024, and while he suffered a loss in an amateur kickboxing bout in December in Nashville, the activity shows his commitment to staying sharp and continuing to develop as a mixed martial artist.
