Crossville, TN - XFA BJJ 01 opened Friday night at Cumberland Mountain State Park with a lightweight NoGi superfight between Crossville MMA’s Dylan Dhuivetter and Killa Kickboxing’s Davan Riddle—a matchup that quickly turned technical. Immediately after the opening bell, the two athletes tied up, and Riddle jumped guard looking for a guillotine. While the choke wasn’t tight, it forced Dhuivetter to stay cautious as he worked to pass from inside Riddle’s guard. Dhuivetter maintained composure and looked for openings, but Riddle stayed active off his back. Midway through the exchange, Riddle transitioned to a triangle choke. Dhuivetter attempted to break free, including lifting Riddle for a slam, but Riddle held position and adjusted the angle. Within moments, Riddle secured the finish via triangle choke—earning a big submission victory in his XFA grappling debut.
Though new to the XFA BJJ mat, Riddle is no stranger to the promotion, having fought three times in the XFA cage under amateur kickboxing rules. His transition into grappling was smooth and effective, showcasing his evolving skill set. Dhuivetter, a familiar face to XFA fans, has competed at every XFA event to date. While the result didn’t go his way, his role in helping build XFA’s grappling scene remains significant.
