Dhuivetter and Hopwood to Test Their Jiu-Jitsu in No-Gi Showcase at XFA Fight Night 5

The grappling action is heating up in Crossville, TN as two talented Tennessee Blue Belts prepare to square off in a highly anticipated no-gi match at XFA Fight Night 5, taking place June 21st at the National Guard Armory.

Representing Crossville MMA, Abigail Dhuivetter returns to the XFA stage with something to prove. After making her Junior MMA debut at XFA Fight Night 4 on May 24th, Dhuivetter suffered a tough loss to Kayla Brummett when she was unable to continue after the second round.  Now 0-1 in Juniors MMA, Abigail steps back into the spotlight—but this time in her strongest element: grappling. Known for her gritty style and aggressive submission attacks, she’s looking to showcase her jiu-jitsu in a pure format.

Standing across from her will be Gabrielle Hopwood, fighting out of Knoxville Martial Arts Academy (KMAA). Hopwood made an immediate impact at XFA Fight Night 4, earning her second amateur MMA victory with a dominant first-round arm triangle submission over Kember Hunt. At 2-0 in MMA and sporting a Blue Belt under a strong KMAA grappling program, Hopwood has momentum on her side as she transitions into this no-gi competition.

With both competitors holding Blue Belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, this match promises to be a technical battle between two rising talents in the regional grappling scene. Whether it’s a war of attrition or a slick submission finish, fans can expect high-level scrambles and nonstop intensity when the cage closes on June 21st.
