![]() Crossville, TN - In an exciting amateur exhibition match at XFA 01, Greg Brummett of London, Kentucky, representing London Martial Arts, made a strong entrance into the world of amateur boxing with a first-round TKO victory over Andrew Smyly of Marysville, Ohio, representing Killing Fields. Both fighters, competing in their 40s, showcased impressive heart and grit in front of an energized crowd at the National Guard Armory in Crossville, Tennessee. For Brummett, this bout marked his boxing debut, and he made a statement by finishing the fight quickly and decisively. Smyly, who last competed at XFA Fight Night 2 — also in Crossville — entered the ring looking for redemption after a previous loss but unfortunately fell short once again. With the TKO loss to Brummett, Smyly's boxing record now stands at 0-2. Despite the setback, Smyly remains determined. He has announced plans to transition into amateur MMA, with his debut targeted for August later this year. As for Brummett, the future is wide open; while no official plans have been revealed yet, his impressive performance suggests there could be more to come.
XFA 01 proved once again why Crossville is quickly becoming a hotbed for local combat sports talent, and both Smyly and Brummett earned respect for stepping into the ring and putting on a show.
