Knoxville, TN – Xtreme Fighting Alliance (XFA) launched its first-ever professional/amateur (pro/am) event at the historic World’s Fair Park in Knoxville, Tennessee, and the evening began with fireworks right out of the gate. The opening contest on the preliminary card saw Andrew Smyly of Killing Fields, making his MMA debut after an 0-2 exhibition boxing record, face off against independent fighter Brandon Selvy. Selvy entered the bout with prior experience in combat sports, holding an 0-1 exhibition MMA record following a loss to Ron Fields at XFA 01 earlier this year in Crossville, and also having competed once under the popular Streetbeefs platform. From the moment the fight began, Selvy wasted no time. He launched a devastating left head kick as his first strike, landing clean and ending the fight in less than thirty seconds. The referee immediately stepped in to wave off the contest, awarding Selvy his first exhibition MMA victory in emphatic fashion.
The lightning-fast finish not only electrified the Knoxville crowd but also set the tone for XFA 02, an event that marked an important milestone in the promotion’s growth as it continues to showcase both amateur and professional talent. About Xtreme Fighting Alliance (XFA): Founded in 2024, XFA is a Tennessee-based mixed martial arts promotion dedicated to elevating the sport through dynamic, high-quality events that combine professional and amateur MMA action.
