Knoxville, TN – The Xtreme Fighting Alliance (XFA) is set to make history on Friday, August 15th as it brings its first-ever event to Knoxville, TN — and its first Pro/Am fight card — to the iconic World’s Fair Park. The night promises a mix of professional and amateur MMA action, and one of the most talked-about matchups on the amateur side is a lightweight clash between Zack Mitchell of Memento Combat Sports and Tony Walker of Wolfpack MMA. For Mitchell, this will mark his amateur MMA debut, but he’s no stranger to the fight game. With a 1-1 record in Dirty Boxing and a reign as the former XFA Lightweight Dirty Boxing Champion, Mitchell is stepping into the cage ready to prove his skills translate to full MMA competition. Standing across from him is the battle-tested Tony Walker (2-10), a seasoned competitor who most recently fought for the Featherweight Championship in May at XFA Fight Night 5 in Harriman, TN. Though he came up short in that co-main event against Kaelan Harbin, Walker’s experience and toughness make him a dangerous challenge for any debuting fighter.
This bout is a prime example of XFA’s Pro/Am format, pairing an up-and-coming debuting fighter with championship experience in another discipline against a veteran who has faced high-level competition. Knoxville fans are set to witness an intense battle inside the cage. About Xtreme Fighting Alliance (XFA): Founded in 2024, XFA is a Tennessee-based mixed martial arts promotion dedicated to elevating the sport through dynamic, high-quality events that combine professional and amateur MMA action. Sanctioned by GAMMA, XFA continues to provide a platform for fighters to showcase their skills in front of passionate combat sports fans across the Southeast. |
