Crossville, TN —  The National Guard Armory was electric this past Saturday night as fight fans packed the venue for XFA 01, the first Xtreme Fighting Alliance event in Crossville this year and the third overall in the city. Originally slated to face RJ Hayes in a professional bout, Fields was forced into a last-minute change after Hayes withdrew just four days before the event, citing a string of excuses that ultimately led to his removal from the card. With little time to spare, Brandon Selvy, a Street Beefs veteran making his MMA debut, stepped up on short notice. Due to the sudden change, the fight was reclassified as an exhibition match—but there was nothing exhibition-like about Fields’ performance.
