Sean Clabough Remains Undefeated with First-Round TKO Over Ta'Mere Sampy in XFA 01 Co-Main Event

Crossville, TN –  Xtreme Fighting Alliance (XFA) delivered fireworks once again this time at the National Guard Armory in Crossville, Tennessee, with XFA 01, its first event in the city for 2025 and third overall following two successful shows in 2024. Among the night’s standout performances, the co-main event featured a high-level amateur welterweight clash between Knoxville’s Sean Clabough (7-0) and Louisiana’s Ta'Mere Sampy (5-2).

Clabough, representing KMAA, entered the bout undefeated at 6-0 and as the #1-ranked Lightweight in Tennessee, stepping up to welterweight for the first time. On the other side of the cage, Flash MMA’s Ta'Mere Sampy brought his 5-1 record and high-level experience as the #3-ranked Middleweight in Louisiana, moving down a weight class to take on the challenge.

From the outset, both fighters put on a technical and explosive display, trading crisp strikes and showing high-level composure. But near the end of the opening round, Clabough found his moment—dropping Sampy with a sharp combination before pouring on the ground-and-pound to earn a first-round TKO finish.

The win moves Clabough to a flawless 7-0, now with a statement win in a second weight class. Already a dominant force at lightweight, his successful welterweight debut opens doors to bigger matchups and a likely path to the professional ranks.

Despite the loss, Sampy showed flashes of why he's been one of the top-ranked amateurs in the Southeast. His toughness and power remain threats in both the middleweight and welterweight divisions.
