Knoxville, TN – The Xtreme Fighting Alliance (XFA) is set to bring its electrifying brand of combat sports to Knoxville for the very first time as XFA 02 takes over the iconic World’s Fair Park on Friday, August 15th. This landmark event also marks the promotion’s first-ever Pro/Am card, featuring a stacked lineup of professional and amateur MMA action.

One of the most anticipated matchups on the amateur side of the card will be a flyweight showdown between two hungry competitors looking to secure their first win — Tayler Milam-Brown (0-1) of Knoxville Martial Arts Academy and Kember Hunt (0-1) of Kuzushi Club Dalton.

Both fighters made their amateur MMA debuts on May 24th at XFA Fight Night 4 in Harriman, TN, and both are entering this contest with something to prove.

Milam-Brown’s debut bout was surrounded by controversy. She faced Rachel Beauchamp in what was initially ruled a split decision win for Beauchamp. However, due to Beauchamp missing weight by a staggering 8 pounds, the GAMMA sanctioning body corrected the official outcome to a draw, citing an automatic point deduction. In a surprising twist, Beauchamp later exploited a loophole in the rules — avoiding signing any agreement to the deduction — which led to the ruling being reverted back to a split decision loss for Milam-Brown. The decision left many in the MMA community questioning the outcome and has fueled Milam-Brown’s drive heading into her sophomore bout.

On the other side of the cage, Hunt’s debut was equally challenging as she faced Milam-Brown’s KMAA teammate, Gabrielle Hopwood. Hunt showed grit and determination but ultimately succumbed to a first-round submission. She now looks to bounce back with a statement victory and halt any momentum from the KMAA camp.

Both fighters are coming off tough losses, and with their competitive spirits and desire to redeem themselves, fans can expect an intense, action-packed fight.

XFA 02 promises a night of intense competition, with fighters from across the Southeast stepping into the cage. Fans can witness the action live at World’s Fair Park in Knoxville or stream the event worldwide via MILLIONS.
