Wynkoop Shines in Debut with First-Round TKO at XFA Fight Night 5

Crossville, TN – The National Guard Armory in Crossville was electric as XFA Fight Night 5 delivered another night of non-stop amateur MMA action. One of the most talked-about moments of the evening came during the lightweight showdown between KMAA’s Ethan Wynkoop and Crossville MMA’s Ryan Moore.

Wynkoop, making his amateur debut, faced a gritty and determined Ryan Moore, who entered the bout with an 0-4 record and something to prove in front of his hometown crowd. From the opening bell, both fighters wasted no time, engaging in a wild exchange of punches that had the crowd on its feet.

In the middle of the opening flurry, Wynkoop shot in for a quick takedown, landing inside Moore’s closed guard. Moore immediately countered with a tight guillotine attempt, threatening to end the bout early. However, Wynkoop stayed composed, worked his way free, and used the scramble to create space on the feet.

It was in that moment that Wynkoop found his mark — landing a clean shot that clipped Moore, followed by a second that dropped him. The referee stepped in to call a stop to the action, awarding Wynkoop the TKO victory just moments into the first round.
