CROSSVILLE, TN — The energy was electric inside the National Guard Armory on April 26th as XFA 01 delivered another unforgettable night of amateur MMA action. This event marked the first XFA card in Crossville for 2025 and the third overall in the city, continuing the promotion’s mission to grow combat sports across Tennessee. One of the evening’s most talked-about bouts featured a Middleweight showdown between two first-time MMA competitors: Chester Hall, an independent fighter out of Dickson, TN, and Shawn Stockwell, representing Crossville MMA. While this was the official MMA debut for both men, Stockwell entered the cage with prior experience, having scored a second-round knockout in his amateur kickboxing debut at XFA Fight Night 1 in June 2024. The fight opened with fast-paced exchanges, with both fighters throwing heavy strikes. A scramble created by missed shots and frantic movement led to the fight hitting the mat—an opportunity Stockwell quickly capitalized on.
Once on the ground, the Crossville MMA product established control and unleashed a relentless barrage of ground-and-pound strikes. The referee stepped in shortly after, calling a stop to the action and awarding Stockwell a first-round TKO victory. The win improves Stockwell’s overall amateur combat sports record to 2-0 and further cements Crossville MMA’s growing reputation as a rising force in the regional fight scene. XFA 01 continued the promotion’s strong track record of high-energy events, giving fighters across the region a platform to showcase their skills in front of a passionate local crowd.
